Step 1: BES Enrolment and Applications Push

  1. Factory reset your  device
  2. Connect to wifi
  3. If asked to connect to Samsung account, skip that part
  4. at the Google sign in enter afw#blackberry in the email field and choose NEXT
  5. If asked, disable all google services and choose NEXT
  6. At the Blackberry UEM Client screen choose INSTALL
  7. Confirm by choosing INSTALL again
  8. Confirm the permission required by choosing OK
  9. Allow UEM client to make calls
  10. Enter the BES activation email address
  11. Enter ‘start’ as activation password and choose Activate my device
  12. Agree to terms and conditions if asked
  13. At the Setup Work device screen choose NEXT if asked
  14. If asked, Check I consent and choose OK
  15. If asked, Agree to KLMS Agent condition and choose CONFIRM
  16. At the Create device password screen choose OK
  17. Choose Password
  18. Enter a password of your choice twice
  19. Choose Hide content and click DONE
  20. Once at the UEM client screen wait about 5 min for the applications to push, then go to the home screen. If it doesn’t let you, reboot the phone
  21. If prompted, accept installation of the VPN and allow it to run in the background
  22. Make sure the VPN is connected by opening the Connectivity app (confirm all prompts)
  23. Clean up the home page to your liking
  24. Apply Android Updates if availlable

Step 2: Ciphr Apps activation

  1. Make sure the sim is in the device
  2. Go to Settings/Connection/Mobile Network/Acces Point Name
  3.  Add new APN, give it a name (any), and set the apn field to neoex or em, depending on the sim card you’re using
  4. Save your APN settings
  5. Go back and select the APN you just created and wait for the 3G/4G/H+ icon to appear in the top right corner
  6. Go to Settings/Connections/WIFI/ Forget the wifi connection
  7. Go back to the home screen and open Ciphr text, enter your activation code and follow the prompts to set your password and then your alias (if it asks to disable battery optimization say yes)
  8. Open Ciphr Mail and exit back to home screen (if it asks to disable battery optimization say yes)
  9. Go to Settings/Apps/SpecialAccess/Optimize make sure that battery optimization is OFF for Ciphr Text, Ciphr Mail and Connectivity
